Goals: take action on your big goals even if you don’t feel like you know enough

How do you reach your big goals in business?
You might have these beautiful, ambitious ideas for what you want to create. You might lie in bed at night, staring at the ceiling, dreaming about your next chapter in business or life. You see it so clearly—the people you want to serve, the impact you want to make, the freedom you want to enjoy.
But then, right behind that big vision, a quieter voice creeps in.
“Who am I to do this?” “I’m not qualified enough.” “I don’t know enough.” “I’m not enough.”
Let me tell you something I’ve learned over the last 20+ years of coaching entrepreneurs: you don’t need to wait until you feel ready to take action. You qualify yourself in the action.
What I’ve learned is that you must take one small action every day, even if you don’t feel qualified.

Big Goals Are Reached Through Small Steps
If you’re someone with big goals (and I believe you are, or you wouldn’t be here), the path to reaching them isn’t about having it all figured out in advance. It’s about breaking those big dreams into tiny, manageable steps.
- Have a conversation with someone who inspires you.
- Join a mastermind or program that helps you grow.
- Maybe hire a practitioner to shift your beliefs or support your healing.
- Open a Google Doc and write the first paragraph of that book you’ve had in your heart for years.
Something that we teach in our signature program is that the size of the step doesn’t matter. What matters is taking one, every day, even when you feel unsure or unqualified.
This is how we grow into our goals. Not from waiting for the perfect moment or perfect version of ourselves. But from moving forward anyway.
You Don’t Have to Wait for Confidence
Letting perfection paralysis take over is what will keep you from those big goals.
I want to be really honest with you: Most people you admire didn’t wait to feel confident before they got started. They started with fear in their belly, just like you might have now.
And something magical happens when you keep going: your goals start moving toward you.
When you show up consistently, when you chip away one little step at a time, you begin to build trust in yourself. You start to feel more grounded. More clear. More capable.
In fact, the more you take these small actions, the more your goals will start to gallop towards you, but not if you are waiting for the inspiration to come, waiting to feel qualified.
This Is Normal, And You’re Not Alone
If you’ve ever felt overwhelmed by your big goals, you are not broken. You are not behind. You are not the only one.
You’re human. This is what it looks like to grow.
So many women I work with think they have to push harder, do more, hustle their way to success. But that’s not the answer.
Doing less—but doing it more intentionally—is where the leverage lives.
When you learn to focus on the few things that move the needle, instead of trying to do it all, you start to build real momentum. That’s how you scale a business that doesn’t just grow, but thrives—with ease.
And so today I’m inviting you to think about that big vision. What is it that you want?
Perhaps it’s something in your business.
Perhaps it’s something in your life.
Perhaps it’s this thing you’ve wanted to launch, or do, or be.
Then, break it down into lots of little steps.
And today, take one of those steps. And tomorrow, take another, even if you don’t feel qualified.
And that is how you start the journey of a thousand steps.
Let’s go for it.
